Barren / wetland areas
15/07/2005The areas I like are the lake areas and tree areas. I do not like the barren landscape with no beauty to it. Changes - more / larger wetland area. Preservation of existing flora and fauna.

Restoration
15/07/2005Like - the desolation of a once stunning area. Changes - Restoring area to it's former glory - if possible!

Peat Cutting
09/07/2005Like - the wilderness effect - especially when it's cold and misty. Changes - Peat cutting - the old way to keep the tradition. Not much, just to demonstrate.

Scotts pine
08/07/2005Like - The vast open space, peace and tranquility, the wide range of wildlife it supports.
Changes - An existing area of scotts pine left to regenerate naturally and confined to that particular block. Providing another habitat would give a small piece of variety and provide a different area of interest for people and wildlife. Would explain this idea if I could get to a meeting but due to work this is not possible.

For the benefit of wildlife
08/07/2005Like - The variety of habitats and diversity of wildlife.
Dislike - Becoming too commercialised, free for all in a very sensitive area. Too many Eng. Nat staff don't seem to be wildlife friendly - more like Estate workers
Changes - More areas to be made no-go areas for the benefit of wildlife
No dogs under any circumstances
More of the work done to benefit wildlife rather than people

Access
08/07/2005The tranquility and variety of wildlife. The amount of work already undertaken on the site to improve it. Being a volunteer and meeting people working on the site.
Changes - Footpaths where you could easily push a wheelchair.

Residency
23/07/2005I enjoyed the way the video presented 2 views using different text. Would have liked to see more of previous video work. I really like the photo image of the model house.
Is interesting and perhaps challenging to make a work of art about a particular place and issue. Does it remain specifically about this or feed into ideas of destruction / conservation in general. And is it important whether it does this?
